Saturday at 6:30pm-7:00pm, Diamond StageDrawing on both contemporary and traditional repertoire, Sansho Daiko brings a fresh approach to an ancient art form, creating a visual and aural experience that crosses ethnic and cultural boundaries. Group members bring with them years of experience gained in other taiko groups and share a love of experimentation and exploration. Like the plant it was named after, Sansho Daiko seeks to be a spicy addition to the west coast taiko scene!

山椒太鼓は、現代曲と伝統曲両方を用い、また聴覚だけでなく視 覚にも訴え、民族的・文化的境界を越えることで、古代の芸術に新 しい風を吹き込みます。他の太鼓グループで何年にも渡って培ってきた経験を生かしながら、試験的な取り組みをしています。植 物の山椒のように、西海岸の太鼓シーンにピリリとしたスパイス を加えるような存在でありたいと思っています!
